Volume 26, Issue 7 April 2005
Judging for the 2005 National ACT Critique and Contest is currently underway. With nearly 100 more entries than last year's contest, ACT members should be proud of their work and effort. A total of 371 entries were submitted from 15 different ACT chapters. Results from the Critique and Contest will be announced at the national convention in San Antonio, Texas.
The online registration for the 2005 National ACT Convention in San Antonio May 31 to June 4 is up. You must register online before May 20. The registration fee is $185 for dues-paying ACT members. In addition to choosing professional development workshops, members have the option of choosing a tour to go on. Adding a tour might cost a few extra dollars, but it will be worth it.
Gain highly regarded and valuable leadership experience by becoming a National ACT Officer. Officer applications will be accepted up through 5:30 p.m. June 1. The current National officer team will hold an informational question and answer session during convention for those who would like more information before running for an officer position. More information including a list of each officer's responsibilities is available here.
Apparel from other universities is in fashion, so National ACT is calling on all chapters to donate five items from their university or town. Bring useful items that would be worth fighting for as we plan give them out as prizes during National Convention.
